Advisory Board

The SIRIUS Project will benefit from the collaboration of experienced researchers and specialists in the topics addressed by SIRIUS. Members of the board of advisors will bring additional expertise and oversight. Moreover, the well-established reputations of these members will further enhance the quality of the work and its outputs, and will ensure widespread recognition and lasting impact. The following scholars form our board of advisors:


Denise Efionayi-Mäder

Ms Denise Efionayi-Mäder, Deputy director, Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies, University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland).
Expertise: asylum regulations and practices; migration and integration issues.


Hasan Hakimian

Dr Hasan Hakimian, Director of the London Middle East Institute (United Kingdom) and MBI Al Jaber Reader in Economics with reference to the Middle East.
Expertise: Middle East, human resources and demographic change, labour markets and employment policy, globalisation and economic integration.


Evi Hatziandreou

Dr Evi Hatziandreou (Dr. P.H. Harvard), Scientific Advisor, think tank DIKTIO - Network for Reform in Greece and Europe.
Expertise: Social and health policy. Prior to her engagement with DIKTIO, she served as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Education with the portfolio of Research, Technology and Innovation.


Linda Herrera

Dr Linda Herrera, Professor of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership, University of Illinois (USA).
Expertise: Middle East and North Africa (MENA), education, international development, and youth studies


Corinne Perthuis

Ms Corinne Perthuis, a communication professional, Ms Perthuis has held several senior communication posts at UNHCR (including the organisation’s spokesperson for France) and at the ILO.
Prior to her engagement with international organisations she was a journalist for the French national television


Savas Robolis

Dr Savas Robolis, Emeritus Professor of Economics of Social Policy, Panteion University (Greece) and former SOPEMI-Migration (OECD) expert for Greece.
Expertise: Macroeconomics, migration, labour markets and social policy, social welfare and protection
